I cannot wait

The build-up to tonight's Habs-Leafs game was tremendous. It truly felt like a playoff contest, and the atmosphere, for the first five or so minutes, was electric. It made me anticipate the postseason quite a bit. I say screw the remaining 13 or so games, just start it tomorrow.

It's a shame the game was such a disaster.

Are you serious that the game isn't on in Ottawa again tonight?

Shoot, Chris, if you guys play in Buffalo in the playoffs you should just come down to the game with us.

Excessive buildup rarely pays off. The way people were acting, you'd think we were going to see USC-Texas II on ice last night.

Kevin,

Unfortunately, it's not on TV again, but that's something that we have to deal with. I'm gonna catch it at a bar so it's not a big deal, but it's an inconvenience to be sure.

All the games will be on TV in the playoffs though, so that's not an issue, but if Ottawa and Buffalo do play, I'm hoping to go. I've never even been to a game in Buffalo since they moved into the new(er) building, and that was, what, 10 years ago?

I remember back when the Sens played the Sabres in 1997, I regretted not doing so. I couldn't get tickets for the games here because they were impossible to acquire (being that it was the first time the Sens made the playoffs). There's a funny story about my quest to get them that I may tell on the blog someday.

When they played again in the 99 playoffs, I had intended on doing so. But after the Sens lost both games 1 and 2 at home (and I paid $80 to see them lose one of those games in double OT), I knew the series was a wrap and wasn't going to waste my time.

Kevin,

Any predictions on how easy it will be to score playoff tickets in Buffalo? I'm not that far away (Toronto) and I'm thinking of making the cross-border trip to watch a game or two. Would *love* to see the Sens without making the 4 hour drive to my parents' place in Kanata.
